Because midlife isn’t a crisis — it’s a conversation.

Menopause. There — we’ve said it. But it’s not all hormones and hot flushes.

Midlife can stir up all kinds of change — from empty nests and glass ceilings, to shifting family roles, identity wobbles, sleepless nights, and the sneaky sense that life’s rewiring itself without leaving instructions.


At the Menopause Café, we gather around tea and cake (always cake!) to share stories, swap tips, offload what’s been heavy, and laugh about the bits no one warned us about.


There are no speakers, no pressure, and no agenda — just open, friendly conversation in a safe and respectful space where everyone is welcome, whether you’re chatty or quiet, curious or coping.


It’s not a workshop. It’s not therapy. It’s simply a space to be real.

We’re part of the national Menopause Café network — holding space for honest, supportive, and sometimes hilarious conversations around menopause and midlife.


Come as you are. Laugh if you want to. Cry if you need to. Just don’t go through it alone.


When: third Thursday of the month, 6.30–8:30pm


Where: Wellswill Cottage, Dersingham


Cost: £2 on the day (covers tea, treats, and venue)


Booking: Spaces are limited, so booking is advise but not essential

Do I need to be going through menopause to attend?

Not at all. Whether you’re in perimenopause, post-menopause, still figuring it all out, or simply curious — you’re welcome. This is a space for anyone navigating midlife changes and all that comes with them.


Is this a support group or a therapy session?

Nope. There are no speakers, no experts, and no therapy — just open, respectful conversation. It’s a relaxed café-style gathering where people chat, share, listen, laugh, and feel a bit less alone.


Do I have to talk?

Only if you want to. You’re welcome to join in the conversation or simply listen — there’s never any pressure.


What do you talk about?

Anything and everything that comes up. Hot flushes and hormones, sure — but also sleep struggles, work stress, empty nests, brain fog, relationships, confidence wobbles… and sometimes Tom Hardy.


Do I need to book?

It’s helpful if you can let us know you’re coming, but it’s not essential. If you’re feeling unsure, you’re very welcome to reach out beforehand.

Sometimes the next chapter begins with a single conversation.
